The NGO FILOXENIA (the Greek word for hospitality) is non-profit organization founded on the 1st of December 1995. From July 1997 it also runs the 1st Youth Information Center in Greece, in the rural area of Kryoneri-Corinthia (Northeastern Peloponnese, South Greece, 115 Km west of Athens). From 2002 this center was converted in an Environmental Youth center.

From September 2001 till 2003 we worked an office in Athens within the place of the Voluntary Work of Athens.

Our Aims

	To initiate interest and concern for the environment and ecology, as well as the encouragement of ecological and agricultural tourism
	To encourage youth and adults mobility in Europe and out of Europe through EU and International Youth program
	To support honorary work and voluntary services
	To offer training opportunities for youth and adults, mainly in the environmental education field
	To promote the preservation of cultural heritage through direct involvement of adolescents in cultural activities
	To support adolescent communication and the development of a European Identity in a Europe without borders, racism or xenophobia
	To inform young people and farmes
